This franchise doesn’t become less popular over time. The first game was released in 2017 and is still played by many players. But the 2021 version, Moon Princess 100, is even more successful. The game was 33rd among the Most Played Slots in 2023 and 30th in 2022.

Features

It’s a cascading slot that is slightly different from what you would expect from these types of games. Unlike most other grid slots that feature cascades, new symbols do not appear when winning combinations are removed from the grid. But existing ones will drop if there’s an empty space below them.

To win, players need at least three similar symbols connected horizontally or vertically. Wilds don’t land on the screen like other regular symbols. They appear only if there’s a three-symbol winning combination. When it disappears, it leaves one Wild in the middle. When Wilds are the only symbols left on the screen, they are removed.

Trinity

Each Princess has her unique power which she can unleash randomly when no win is landed. Their powers are the key to landing more wins and triggering the bonus game. A combination consisting of 3 Princess symbols fills 1 section, 4 and 5 of them fill 2 and 3 sections, respectively.

Moon Princess 100 awards free spins when every single symbol is removed from the grid. That’s quite a challenge but with the help of Princesses and their powers, it becomes possible. When players activate the feature, they have to choose one of three options. They can get 4, 5 or 8 initial free spins each with its own booster. But as the number of FS increases, players get fewer spins when the feature is retriggered. There can be up to 100 free spins in total.

The meter that activates the Trinity feature during the main game is used to activate bonus retriggers. And those retriggers are the key to landing a higher multiplier. When winning combinations disappear, the symbols above them drop to fill their spots, and each such drop increases a multiplier. In the base game its value resets between rounds, but when you enter the bonus game, it will only grow and never resets until the round ends.
